Fußballtempel Friedrichshafen

During the 2018 FIFA World Cup (June 10 – July 15), Kunstverein Friedrichshafen presented eight stadium photographs by renowned photographer Reinaldo Coddou H. in public spaces throughout Friedrichshafen.

The photographs were taken during significant matches from recent football history and depict the great football temples of our time. The goal of the project was to capture the excitement of live football in the stadium and to build a bridge between art and popular culture. At the same time, the project aimed to stimulate and reflect on the oral culture of memory that helps important games live on in the minds of fans. A city map with all the stations of the project allowed visitors to explore the exhibition in a walking tour—offering a new perspective on Friedrichshafen.
