True lite

I am not interested in designing experimental setups in order to subsequently confirm them, but rather in examining the principle of an action as art, the “making of art”, on the basis of pre-designed situations. Acting within a specific time frame and under predetermined conditions, exacerbating the inequality between real space and “art space” and presenting the opponents as a unity.

My previous working method was based on introducing “membranes” or “implants” into predetermined spaces. These works were location-specific. Since 1998, I have been trying to integrate the factor of time into my installations. To do this, I work with lighting equipment: chaotic and uniform light movements are generated by defective neon tubes and computer-controlled laser projectors. I place the light-non-light situation in a specific sequence and thus examine the statics of repetitive processes.
